Christmas 2011

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a pug dog.

The stockings were hung by the stairs with care,
in hopes that Big Santa and Jimmy, the elf, would soon be there.
Homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk were placed with care, in hopes Big Santa would be thrilled.

In the middle of the night, Big Santa and Jimmy arrived.
I heard them on the roof the prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head and was turning around, I heard the front door budge open.
They spoke not a word, but went straight to work.
They filled the stockings and left presents galore,
for hopes the Youngblood kiddos would such adore.

They sprang to their sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
and away they all flew like down a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, as he flew out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

At 7 am the kiddos awoke.
To find such sweet surprises and a little note.
They were tickled with joy and enjoyed in their Christmas delights.
Now to next Christmas they rejoice!

For it looks like Big Santa made a slight mistake,
what made him leave behind a Justin Beiber note pad?
Why can't Big Santa remember she really dislikes Mr. Beiber?
