Renaissance Festival 2012

Back in November, we visited the Renaissance Festival. The kids had fun seeing everyone dressed up and eating turkey legs. Caroline was heaven, because she finally got to ride a horse. She wants a horse so bad! Eeek!

Busy with life

We've been busy. Super busy. But, we are healthy, strong, and chugging along. Here are a few pictures from our recent outing to Perry's Steakhouse. Dusty surprised us and made reservations. We usually go alone, but we decided to bring the kids this time. They had a blast and were so well behaved. Our family dinner date will always be cherished. It was such a sweet evening for all of us. I sure love this crazy bunch!

Halloween 2012

Just a few clips from our Halloween night.  We had the other Youngblood's over for dinner and some trick or treating. It was a fun night and I'm so excited that we moved closer to the other Youngblood family.  My nieces look so stickin cute, as a pretzel M & M and a box of popcorn.  I love it! Of course, my kiddos wanted to be scary zombies. So, we went for the zombie cheerleader and football players.
Here is the 1st scary zombie....a cheerleader...with a little sass....

And zombie #2

Zombie #3:

And all 3 scary zombies together:

And attacking their cousin before she changed into her costume...

Almost the entire gang. Just needed Abbi.

And Cameron and Jake with their school friends.

Benjamin Franklinstein Lives!/painting pumpkins

The other night we decorated the kids pumpkins for the boys school project. They had to pick their favorite character from a book and create that character on the pumpkin. The character pumpkins are put on display in the school library for all to see (no carving allowed though!). Jake picked Benjamin Franklinstein, from the book, Benjamin Franklinstein Lives! Cameron picked an Avenger picture book and designed Captain America. Cameron's pumpkin was still super wet with paint the morning we needed to take the pumpkins to school, so we just brought Franklinstein to the school and added both of the boys name to it. I think they turned out Super awesome!!! Just in case you are wondering....we used silly putty to create the noses on both of the pumpkins! Caroline went to town with the paints. She is such a little designer!

Here is the book that Jake did. It is a book off of the Texas Bluebonnet List for 2012-2013.
