This Halloween we went Trick or Treating with the York Family and our newest friends, the Beene Family. This was the BEST HALLOWEEN ever! We had a blast hanging out with the adults while our kids played. It was a great evening.
No CUTE poses for CC tonight!!! This girl was on a mission for CANDY!!!
A quick pic of the group & a "1" piece of candy break...
We hope everyone had a GREAT night... even though this post is a couple of weeks late!
Yesterday we spent the day hanging out with Papa EJ at Grandpa Dusek's house. My grandpa passed away recently and visiting his house brought back a lot of memories from when I was a little girl. Caroline has never been to my grandpa's house, so it was nice to capture some pictures of her running around in his yard and sitting in the swing that I used to enjoy as a kid. P.S. CC hijacked this baby doll, so if it is yours & you would like it back, then we can sneak it out of the house. Just let me know :)
Today is going 2 be a Good Day! NieNie is going to be on Oprah today, I'm catching up on my school work, and I even got my workout in this morning. Not to mention, I'm so blessed that these little kiddos are in my life!!!
I'm having a case of the Mondays. I have so much homework (19 hours of college course work is a doozy!) and a super messy house to clean up. Plus, our dishwasher is broken, our sink broke last week and we had to fork out $300 for a new one, the brakes on Dusty's car are going out, I dropped my Blackberry in the toilet (my toilet) and today when I was cleaning up the boys room I noticed a crack on the ceiling. Feels a little wet, but no water signs. I told Dusty about it, but his response was "We will just wait until the ceiling falls through!"
I hope Tuesday is a better one!
And since every post needs a picture..... taken last Halloween, but still a favorite.
my sweet sweet little cc is getting bigger and bigger by the minute. she loves to dance to music and play the guitar (even though the guitar and her are the same size). she is such a little character! for these pics, she was playing along to roy orbison.
Today, I celebrated my 29th birthday! It was a great day with a lot of SwEeTs... from cupcakes, to my wonderful hubby, and 3 sweet kiddos.
My SwEEt mother-in-law from Utah had these wonderful cupcakes made for me from a place in Katy called Ooh La La. These cupcakes not only looked fabulous, but they also tasted so so YumMy! Thanks MiMi! These cupcakes HIT the spot.
My favorite cupcakes were these: the PiNaColAdA's
Also for my birthday, my mom bought me these new pair of glasses, which I needed very badly. According to the eye doc, I can NO longer wear contacts and I'm not a candidate for lasik. His advice was to find some classy glasses and enjoy them. He also stated my eyes were that of a 60 year old. I have been put onrestasis and fish oil. So, I guess that makes my body that of a 29 year old and my eyes that of a 60 year old. LOL
Dusty and the kids got me the new book by Nicholas Sparks, The Last Song, and the perfume Romance by Ralph Lauren. I also have another present coming by mail, but it has not made it to our front door yet.
So, here is to another year of smelling good, new eye sight, reading some good books, and to my last year of being in my twenties!
Oh yeah.... I bought myself a snuggie and I lOvE It!
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." Gordon B. Hinckley
Enjoy the little things; for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. -Robert Brault
