park fun

Today, we joined our friends, the Schmidt Family, at Peckham park for a little putt putt golf. The kids had a blast playing and running wild. We followed up our park play with some cold air from McDonald's. The afternoon was a hit and my kids were super exhausted afterwards...and that's always a good thing!
I just love this girl!!! Don't you want one of those cool bracelets that she has on?  She made it all by herself on the drive over to the park....such a diva!
This squirrel was not shy at all.  He would come really close to you and want to be fed.  He enjoyed snacking on pretzels and granola bar. I'm pretty sure Casey spoiled him with the granola bar.-HA! HA!

worms and the park

An afternoon at Mary Joe Peckam Park.
It was blazing HOT out!
The kids loved it.
They loved the worms.
The loved the fishing.
They loved chasing the ducks.
They didn't care they didn't catch anything.
And they enjoyed chugging down all of the red Gatorades.

A very dirty and sweaty Cee Cee....

Random Thoughts

Greetings Everyone. Not much has been happening in the Youngblood family. We have been busy with the same old stuff.... gym, Caroline's nap, me in school, 1st grade homework, dinner and bed. School has consumed any spare time I might have had. Well, I have managed to get my butt to the gym everyday. I have come to enjoy my workouts now. After I had Caroline, I could not get motivated to hit the gym. However, about 3 weeks ago I started taking a class and I love it. It has kicked MY BUTT, but I have come to enjoy the 30 straight jump squats and traveling lunges that make my muscles ache so badly!
On another note-I took the kids to the park the other so they could feed the ducks and play. I also thought I could get a super cute picture of the three kids, but failed miserably. It was so cold and windy and the ducks and the bread were such a distraction. Scroll down to see some pictures of the park experience. *i decided not to post the picture of the 3 kids, because CC had a terrible runny nose*

a day at the park

Today, Dusty and I took Caroline and Jake to the park and I must say we had a great time! We walked 3.5 miles, pushed the double stroller and had our ice cold water bottles in tow. It was nice to get out and exercise as a family (minus our 1st grader) and enjoy the semi-fall weather. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

CC has mastered the slide concept. She is becoming a pro!

Hey, look who can play with the rocks now and not put them in her mouth...BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!

Time to leave the playground and hit the walking trail again. As you can tell someone was pretty upset about the idea!

Angie, if you are reading this DON'T FREAK OUT! Yes, this was a real snake. In fact it is a water moccasin. Jake was thrilled to actually see a snake and seeing the snake made the trail walk well worth it.

Look at this armadillo shell we came across....

The best part of walking the trail was looking for pine cones.

Happy Fall Everyone!
