11 years

Cameron turned 11 back in June.
We celebrated with a few of his friends from the neighborhood and his nieces.
He only had a few small request for his birthday---a whipped icing cake from Kroger's, to have friends over, and LACROSSE gear.
He has been requesting to play lacrosse for over a year now...so, LACROSSE here we come!

 He nieces, Emlyn & Sydney made him a 9 foot Big Foot drawing and a Big Foot journal--it rocked--those girls are so clever!

Independence Day 2012

This year, we celebrated Independence Day by keeping it low key. We hung out at the house and enjoyed the fun that our new neighborhood offered. The afternoon brought rain showers, so the kids ran out some of their bottled energy in the backyard in the rain. Even Chief joined in on the fun. Dusty fired up his new grill (a surprise from the kiddos and I) and made us hamburgers and grilled chicken. When darkness set in, we headed over to a neighborhood friends house to enjoy setting off a few sparklers and watching fireworks.

Cameron welcomed double digits on the 15th! I can't believe he is 10! We celebrated by having a few of his closest friends over and having pizza and cake. Cameron's big gift (and only gift-ha!) from us was an IPAD. We got lucky and scored a new edition and couldn't pass it up. He has spent hours on it, mostly photo booth,taking hilarious pictures of his friends, family, and pug dog. I thought I would post a few of him for a good laugh....

thankful

Today, I'm thankful for my close friend, Casey, and for her cool kids, Alex & Taylor. I'm thankful we could have a Thanksgiving/bring in the Christmas cheer party and paint ornaments.
