Independence Day 2012

This year, we celebrated Independence Day by keeping it low key. We hung out at the house and enjoyed the fun that our new neighborhood offered. The afternoon brought rain showers, so the kids ran out some of their bottled energy in the backyard in the rain. Even Chief joined in on the fun. Dusty fired up his new grill (a surprise from the kiddos and I) and made us hamburgers and grilled chicken. When darkness set in, we headed over to a neighborhood friends house to enjoy setting off a few sparklers and watching fireworks.

He is 7 months now and finally fully potty trained.
He is pretty lazy.
Sleeps in human positions.
Loves to cuddle, and
Eats all of our veggies & fruits that are growing in our backyard.
I think he is a strawberry kind of guy.

Valentine's Day using the iPhone

Valentine's Day, the day of L-O-V-E.
Nothing is better than spending the day with the ones you LOVE the most.
We enjoyed the evening with a heart shaped pizza, pasta, bread sticks,chocolate covered strawberries, and watching the movie, The Smurfs.
I love my little family!
Even Chief got a special treat on the big day of LOVE.
(gotta love the iPhone that Dusty got me. Now I can snap pictures and upload to the blog. No more slacking on my end!)

a bigger boy

Chief, our 4th child, went for his check up appointment a few weeks back.
We are proud to report he weighs 7.6 pounds.
He enjoys sleeping, eating, pooping, peeing, and playing.
He sleeps through the night now without having to go out and potty. That makes me a happy mommy.
He is still working on the potty business, but is doing a lot better.
He does a lot of this.....

early Christmas...

On Saturday, our elf, Jimmy, brought back an early Christmas present from the North Pole. It's the one thing our kids have been asking for. The kids were surprised when they arrived home on Saturday evening to be greeted by Jimmy at the back door. Jimmy left arrows sending them to the direction that left the kids their early Christmas surprise (I just didn't get the picture of their surprise while it was in the box).....
