Halloween 2013

I can't believe it is Christmas and I am just updating about Halloween and scarecrows! This year for Halloween, we had the other Youngblood's over for dinner and then we did some trick or treating in our neighborhood. The first couple of pictures are of Caroline at the church Halloween party. She wanted to be Taylor Swift, however, when we couldn't find any yellow hair spray and the white color failed miserably, making her hair look grey, she switched to Snow White. Jake was Andy Dalton and Cameron was a BYU lacrosse player.

Benjamin Franklinstein Lives!/painting pumpkins

The other night we decorated the kids pumpkins for the boys school project. They had to pick their favorite character from a book and create that character on the pumpkin. The character pumpkins are put on display in the school library for all to see (no carving allowed though!). Jake picked Benjamin Franklinstein, from the book, Benjamin Franklinstein Lives! Cameron picked an Avenger picture book and designed Captain America. Cameron's pumpkin was still super wet with paint the morning we needed to take the pumpkins to school, so we just brought Franklinstein to the school and added both of the boys name to it. I think they turned out Super awesome!!! Just in case you are wondering....we used silly putty to create the noses on both of the pumpkins! Caroline went to town with the paints. She is such a little designer!

Pumpkin patch 2012

We took Cee Cee to one of the pumpkin patches in downtown Katy the other day. We thought the pumpkin patch was pretty awesome. Either that or it has been awhile since we have visited one. I think the last time we were at a pumpkin patch was when Jake was a month old and Cameron was a year. We usually just grab the $4 dollar pumpkin from Kroger's. However, this year we needed 2 special size pumpkins for the boys so they can do a pumpkin project at the school (more on that to come). Cee was delighted when she found a lady bug crawling around on one of the pumpkins.  Can you see her excitement?  She just loves any kind of animals and bugs (EEEK!)


 

Halloween

We celebrated Halloween this year with our friends, the Perales Family, or as our kids like to call us, "the Youngerales". We ended up setting up a tent, decorating it, and passing out 160 hot dogs, chips, candy, and water. The night was a hit and I think this was our best Halloween yet!
