South Padre

Just a million pictures of our quick last minute trip to South Padre last week. The trip was not really planned and we were not impressed by South Padre. But, we had a blast and the kids lived in the pool and that is all that really matters! We stopped at Bucee's gas station in Wharton on our way and Cee Cee wasn't too impressed with Mr. Bucee...but she loved the store and all the treats they offered.

We ventured to the beach one morning for a little sun. The kids loved the water and got a kick out of actually seeing their feet in the water. I recommend the beach, but not to sure about the hotels along the beach.  We saw some pretty shady characters along the hotel beaches.

And the rest of the pictures are in totally random order...from time spent at the beach, swimming at the hotel, and the famous JAWS shop in South Padre that the kids loved (hint the giant JAWS face walking into the shop).

Moody Gardens, Part 1

Cameron: Why is it called "Moody" Gardens?

Dusty: Because when you leave the hotel you are "Moody" because your bill was so expensive!
FACTS ABOUT OUR TRIP:

-This was the best mini-vacation EVER!!!

-We had a BLAST!!!

-We ate at the RAINFOREST CAFE... so much better than the Katy Mills Mall LOCATION!!!

-We swam in the pool for HOURS!!!

-The kids roasted smores at the hotel-PRICELESS!!!

-The kids ordered virgin strawberry daiquiris in the pool that were loaded with extra strawberries and whip CREAM!!!

-We visited the dinosaur EXHIBIT!!!

-We played at palm BEACH!!!

-Cameron ordered a $12 movie in the hotel room by mistake using the REMOTE!!!

-Dusty was attacked at palm beach by the birds wanting FOOD!!!

-Never brought my camera to the pool or palm beach....means limited # of PICTURES!!!

-Bought a $20 disposable camera at palm beach that could get WET!!!
-Disposable camera pictures won't be ready until Saturday. I wonder if the pictures will come out OKAY???

-The best vacation by FAR!!! The time we spent together will never be FORGOTTEN!!!

Sea World

A couple of weeks ago we went to Sea World with The Romanowski Family. They are our good friends from Victoria. Our boys just adore their boys and have a blast when ever they get around them. We got a TWO day pass, but Sea World should really offer a THREE day pass, because there is so much to do there. Here are some pics from our trip.

On the first day there we had lunch with Shamu. This is super fun, because it is an up close encounter with Shamu and his trainers. They have a lunch and dessert buffet set up and then Shamu does some up close tricks for you. There dessert is super delicious, especially their chocolate cake. I highly recommend this if you plan on visiting Sea World.

The Height Check to Ride the Rides

Jake was just a little to short to ride the best ride ever, Journey to Atlantis. We thought if we put this hat on him, he might just pass the 42'' height requirment.

No such luck!! Hats have to be removed before height check off. Jake was pretty upset, but I think he liked getting soaked while everyone else was getting on the ride. Plus, he was able to sweet talk me into getting him a Shamu icecream, popcorn, and sword while he waited for the ride to be over with.

THE BEST RIDE WAS THE JOURNEY TO ATLANTIS!!
