Triathlon

Cameron completed his first triathlon today. He did an amazing job and we are so proud of him. His best event was the run, where he kicked butt!!!! He's a small guy (smallest kid at the triathlon), but he rocked it!

Almost 8

Cameron's birthday is not until June, but we went ahead and got him an early birthday present. We had planned on getting him a bike for his birthday, but since he will be participating in his first triathlon in May we decided to surprise him early with some new wheels. He thinks the bike is pretty sweet, but is ready for the rest of his presents...

These guys are the best of friends. However, they do have their days when there is constant arguing and they have to be separated.

For example, the other night when I came home from Statistic class I found these notes on the table. According to Dusty it was just another night of craziness between the boys.

This is Cameron's letter to Jake....

"I am sorry Jake for kicking you and punching you and throwing the ball at you. Sorry for doing all those things to you. I am making something for you. From: Cameron.

And Jake's letter to Cameron

"I am sorry I punched you and you are Cameron the best. Love Jake."

Why they didn't use regular paper I will never know. I guess the Cat in the Hat makes better stationary.

$6 bucks worth?

JJ lost his 1ST top tooth this morning! Talk about a super excited kid. He's certain the tooth fairy is going to bring him $6 bucks! Hmmmmm? I'm sure his classmates got an ear full today at school.

Hike

Last week we headed to Stephen F. Austin state park and hiked some of the trails. It was nice to get out of the house and be outside. The kids enjoyed hiking and looking for animals and bugs. Hopefully, next time when we visit we will spend a couple of days camping.
That morning before we left we had muffins and fruit. (Thanks to Mary for letting us borrow some eggs :) ) Caroline was such a big help in the kitchen...

The kids loved these muffins. They are the Fiber 1 muffins. A box at Kroger's is almost $4, but at Sams a box with 3 bags in it is $1.91. I'm going back on Friday to stock up... I just hope there are some left.

Caroline loves to play with the boys sight word list from school. She looks at the words and says, "R, S, C" over and over again. These are her favorite letters of the alphabet.
